buy for $50 mean u will likely have to sign up for a bunch of promotions... like trials that cost say $5. u r supposed to cancel before they start charging u. do 10 deals like that and u get ur ipod for around $50 paid and a buttload of phone calls to cancel ur crap. u will also likely be spammed to hell with the informations u surrender.

ps - i am just guessing.
 
If you want an explanation of how this probably works, the guy's going to give you a link to a site where they have a pyramid scheme set up to distribute ipods. The idea is you buy in for $50, then get a few other idiots to buy in for $50 and the company sends you an ipod. By selling that link to you, he gets a referral and thus gets closer getting an ipod for himself. Like all pyramid schemes the people on top make all the money and the people at the bottom of the pyramid inevitably get fucked.

My prediction: It will be a link to an auction for a link. In a downward spiral of Lincolns (as opposed to Benjamins) you will find youself in for $400 before you know it. Then the iPod won't be so cheap.
