Ipod firmware

was hoping someone could help, I know very little about ipods :X - I found some games I want to put on my 30gig ipod (it has video) but the games say they need either 5.0 or 5.5 firmware. I can't find out what firmware the ipod has now. All I can find is that it is version 1.3. Perhaps the games weren't made for this type of ipod. Sorry to OT but I'm kind of in a bind (is there even a forum for Ipod questions?)

Well all it says is that it's version 1.3 and is up to date. I don't know what 5.0 and 5.5 firmware are for but I guess not for the 30gb video ipod.
