iPod Coverter Help... PLEASE!

Ok well, Videora will NOT work on my computer, I open it and get an error, tried uninstalling it and reinstalling, didn't work. IN fact now it won't even open. So I decided to try SUPER, and that might be great, except there is nthing telling me how to use it at all and the first video I tried, Transformers, gave me an error. I used DVDFab Decrypter to rip the movies to my hard drive, but what files do I try and convert, seeing as each movie has at least like 8 individual files. I have no idea what I'm doing with this, I just want my movies on my iPod. Please help.

I just used SUPER to transfer some smaller movies/videos to my ipod. The movies converted nicely, and the program is free...the interface could use some work, but hey, it's free, and it works.

SUPER

It's pretty easy to use, it has default settings for a bunch of formats (including mp4, which I found works well w/ the ipod).

The program is a little slow, but once you get the hang of it it's not too bad. PM me if you need help.

Videora doesn't work for me either, on either computer. I would try SUPER, except THERE IS NO DOWNLOAD LINK ON THE WEBSITE. When you find a link that looks like it's to the download, it ends up being a link to some page with lines upon lines of poorly written text that I have no desire to read, but have been reading anyway because I'm hoping to find a buried link. I get it, SUPER guys, you are proud of the features of your product and feel the need to list them on every page, but please provide a link otherwise it's useless to me.

You can use DVDFab to encode a copy for your ipod right from the dvd. Otherwise nero recode works well too. What format are you trying to encode from, you said you had a bunch of folders? I'm assuming .vob folders?

super is garbage.
slow, and bloated and intuitive as the website that makes you jump through hoops to donwload. frankly the behavior of the program and the website are rather suspicious. though no ones reported super being malware yet.
use media coder and handbrake. h264 and mpeg4. media coder has optimized binaries for cpus. and both are multithreaded. fast stuff. no bs. and FREE
hand brake for dvds. mediacoder for other files.

videora is bs as you've found out.

mpeg4 300-384kbps video with 128kbps aac audio works pretty well.
you can get away with less with h264 but ipods tend to have crap battery life with video in the first place so its probably best not to make it worse with h264. more useful with walkman, which starts off with 10hours of video😛 h264 only knocks 1-2 horus off that.
