Why in the hell would you throw away your iPod when you're getting a Zune of all things. Have these people even tried the Zune and found it superior to their iPod? Why in the hell wouldn't you at least sell it to cover some of the costs of the Zune?

You know Microsoft bought those broken ones off of eBay just to make their bin look cool.

Hell, they all look like 1st and 2nd Gen. anyways.

I'm not an iPod fanboy and even I know that at least two of those are fourth generation, and there is no way to identify the others that are laying face down.

Because the Zune is superior to the iPod.

Stoned or stupid... now I hate Apple more than satan himself... and I love MS... but this time there is no comparioson..

Ipod>zune period...

and I hate Ipods.. Id much rather have a creative or Archos.. but in that comparison Apple trumps...

Well that IS at Microsoft's offices to put in perspective.

I actually rather like the Zune hardware though. Very nice stuff with a lot of potential (and that's just the current generation hardware that was rushed to market.) They just need to do a better job of merging all their software together. They've got too many multimedia platforms right now between Media Player, Xbox360, Zune Marketplace and Windows Media Center. At least 3 of those apps (if not all) could be merged together.

There's a lot of rumors that we'll be seeing the next generation Zunes unveiled (including a new flash-based model) on June 1st.

One thing that I'm kind of miffed about is that there is no mid level portable audio player. There are the low priced flash based players that most only play back audio but have at most a gig or two of memory. And the next up are the video audio players. I was really hoping that the there would still be lines of hard drive based audio players that would be priced cheaper than the video player lines. But it still costs me about the same amount of money to get a 40 GB mp3 player now that it did four years ago. And here are people just throwing them away.
