After watching an episode of 'Hoarders' and deciding to clean out my office, I found a bunch of old CDs and DVDs with pictures on them. I THINK these pictures were on my PC when I converted to Mac (earlier this year), but I am not sure and there really are too many to check by hand.

If I tell iPhoto to import the photos from the disks, will it import a second copy of the pictures that are already on the Mac or is it smart about such things? Is there a setting for this situation?
