iPhones for All: Wal-mart to sell iPhones starting December 28th

I enjoy being an Apple fanboy, but not to extremes. I like the community, the fun hype of rumors and new products, shiny new toys, et. all, but WOW are some of those comments lame. I think most of them are just ticked off because they won't be the only ones in their neighborhoods to own iPhones anymore

Hopefully Wal-mart will offer some nice accessories for cheaper than the Apple store carries them for lol.

"Oh you have that wal-mart phone huh, it must be disposable or pay as you go right?"

"no, but I should have got a screen protector.. all this pig wrestling grease makes it hard to select my pre censored evangelical dog loving over used steel guitar losing mah woman regaining mah woman then losing mah woman to mah dog and then losing my dog to my woman country music"

I can't see in-store activations going well at Walmart..

Oh well, I actually live closer to an Apple store than a Walmart anyway.

Yeah, the comments on the TUAW post are ridiculous. Let me just say that I am very much an Apple fanboy, and I shop at Walmart all the time. In fact, I bought my iPod there.

They're doing it because Best Buy did it I'm assuming. Wal Mart is going to be going into the services business soon, which is all that Best Buy has going for it. This is just another stab in the back I think.

That was worded incorrectly. I work at Best Buy and they always ranted and raved about being the only retail store where you could buy an iPhone. Only other ways were through Apple and/or AT&T in some form or another. Well, they're aware that Walmart is coming after them in all aspects and plans on taking them out of business if they can, and this is just one of the ways it will happen.

Edited to sound less silly.

I'm all for it. The more places they sell it, the bigger the platform gets, the more apps we will get 🙂
