So... Regardless of Apple's best intentions, I read iPhoneX and hear an 'Ecks' rather than a 10.

Apologies for the repeated ecks, but I wanted to be clear.... Unlike some large technology companies.

What about you all?

They really should just stay with the year with all product releases. Iphone 2017 or '17. None of this 360 or One or X or S and then come out with something else that makes zero sense chronologically when people talk about them years from now and can't figure out what came first.

Marketing depts. trying to be edgy so they feel useful?

Imagine if cars started getting these random names every subsequent year.

Like BMW, Audi, or any of the exotic mfg's?

Well the number \______________/ releases they were doing were fine. They could have left the iPhone x as the iPhone eks and then carried on as normal. Or called it the iPhone 8X if they were going to do it on every release.

Apple already has huge brand capital in "X" as in "OS X" so it's absolutely astounding to me they've decided to go with "ten" for the X in the iPhone.
