Iphone vs android is useless, lets make useful applications instead.

Since fundamental religious views are obvious not something to laugh about with history and cruelty in mind...
I want something to laugh at and i have chosen the almost fundamental religious views when it comes to owners of Iphones defending their toy and owners of Android defending their toy. It is truly amazing and baffling that so many people need to feel to belong somewhere choosing a camp and will defend that camp so vigorously that when the right buttons are pushed will use violence.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Why even start it in the first place? What were you expecting, a civil and calm discussion?

I blame not enough coffee. But you are right.

It reminds me how a relative of mine is always blaming Bill Gates and windows for everything that is wrong with the world. Of course, the relative favors a certain operating system (No not Apple, sorry).
Whenever the relative visits and just before arrival, i always polish the Microsoft logo on the limited amount of Microsoft material that i own.

Different subject that is more in the line with this part of the AT forum. I like it how the android / apple (smartphone ?) phone has apps to increase the functionality.

There are some limited examples of even using the phone as a measurement device for technical appliances. The benefit is that it can be done wireless and this increases safety in some situations.

I am still planning to create an ARM driven device that has a bluetooth transceiver and that can sample voltage and currents or any signal and transmit this to the phone by use of bluetooth. The smart phone has enormous amount of calculation power to create graphical views or dissect the signal into separate components. Remember how in the science fiction movies always there are 2 devices ? One to measure and one to review the results. This is at our grasp for the developing, ladies and gentlemen.

Developers, developers, developers...

Even if not being wrong, they can't admit the other side just might have a good product too!

So what you're saying is that even in real life you like stirring up trouble with known fanboys?

Can we lock this thread already? It's obvious the OP just enjoys conflict... both on and off line. Threads like this ruin these forums.

No, i did not write that. I should mention that with respect to the example in the post that you quoted ,many times i have given examples of how all parties have done deeds that are beneficial to all of us. But some just refuse to have a clear view of reality. With respect to my relative, i never touch the subject. But that does not mean the logo's are not shiny.

EDIT:
Besides i have raised the thread with giving an example to turn the smart phone into a measurement device (Oscilloscope or a multimeter or a spectrum analyzer). Would be great to see projects open source or not. I am planning to make my own measurement device.

Aren't there enough penis measurement apps in both camps already?

Is a tape measure not more easy for such purposes ?

800px-Tape_measure_colored.jpeg

Too low-tech. I actually saw one (actually, quite a few) retina scanning penis apps a year or so ago, it was all for gags, like the heart-monitor app where you put you thumb over the camera lens and it would measure your heartrate.

Heart monitor app i have. It is handy that the sensor detects the change in blood flow by use of sending a lot of light true the finger.
While thinking of how the heart app works (putting a finger on the phone).

If a penis measurement app becomes available working with the same technique as the heart app... I promise i am never answering the phone of another person again.
