IPhone voivemail issues on 3GS

This is my first apple product and I have to say...Im hooked. Ive pretty much already decided to go with macs for our next home computers.

I do have a question and I cant seem to find a solution. When I get a call, it shows up as a missed call, but the voicemail never shows up. When I power off and power on the phone, the voicemails pop right up!

Is there a way to fix this? Anyone?

Thanks,

G

They definitely don't show up when you go into the Voicemail section?

Hmm.. I was having a similar type issue at first and AT&T said it was their error. Basically what would happen would be my voicemails wouldn't come through, until I went into the Voicemail section and then it would prompt me for my password and then download the voicemails. It did end up being AT&T's fault because it just started working right within a few days.

I would call AT&T and see if they are experiencing issues. If not, try and restore from a backup.. if that doesn't work then a full restore without saving any data.. if that doesn't work, then I'd take it into the Apple Store.

with my iPhone 2G I sometimes wouldn't get VVM notifications for hours after the missed call. It didn't really bother me, I just started to click over to the VM tab after seeing a missed call. Doing that would download any messages within a minute or so.
