I like Meebo the most out of all the iPhone-web-based IM apps, but it hasn't been working for me the last couple of months :(

Meebo has been uncharacteristically unreliable for me. Yes, JiveTalk isn't very fast. FlickIM is missing features like whoa.

Waiting for February...

It's the time when they open up the platform for 3rd party developers to place some software on the phone.

Apple has to approve the apps before they will be sold. Guessing you will have to sync via itunes to load them.

wtf we're going to have to buy apps that other people make? they should allow an option for the app to be free if the developer wants it to be free..

I hated Beejive it was so slow and I didn't feel like trying any other software, but I gave meebo a shot and it's not too bad. I don't use it a lot though.

I'm sure some will be freeware/shareware. As for the "wtf we have to buy apps people make?"

Do you work for free?

I honestly laughed out loud at that. I love free software as much as the next guy, but seriously, you are willing to spend $400-600 on a phone, but are unwilling to pay $3 for a little widget that could be fun? Really? Really, really?
