Huh? As in pay-per-use? Monthly fee? What what?
This just sounds ridiculous. They may as well charge you a "looking at the phone" fee.
The iPod Touch 2G has Bluetooth built in, but Apple has intentionally disabled this functionality, it recently revealed. Customers who want Bluetooth will have to pay $9.99 for an OS upgrade. (Source: Engadget)

The iPod touch 2nd gen has had bluetooth the whole time. When it first came out so did some nike running application that tracked something or another... well you had to pay for it. When the update becomes available for the iPod touch people will have to pay for it to use the bluetooth.
I find that rediculous... its been on there the WHOLE TIME!!! Just like how I had to pay for update 2.0 on my 1st Gen before I sold it. I can't stand apple for their communist ways

I don't understand the so-called controversy over this. Verizon cripples their phones 98% of the way, so Apple cripples JUST Bluetooth and people whine? Sheesh! 😛
