too invested in android to move to iOS now. also, i like the customization options for android.
iPhone
99.5% of Droid users buy a droid becasue they dont like Apple, its not a logical choice its just they cant buy anything from Apple. Every single freind i have, who owns a droid is an "apple hater". 100% of them, there is noone who owns a droid who is neutral.
You know you could have just talked about the positives of iOS instead of crapping on Android with exaggerations and it wouldn't come off as trollspeak. 🙂
I've used both pretty heavily, but at the end of the day, I prefer Android. I like having a variety of handsets to choose from instead of being limited to a single model. I like being able to customize the interface to meet my wants/needs, and Google Maps + Navigation has been great for me.

Actually, it's a perfectly logical choice. Had Apple not insisted that their devices be locked down into their proprietary "ecosystem" maybe there would be less reasons to avoid their products.

iPhone right now.
I will consider moving to droid especially if the iPhone 5 is just a rehash of the iPhone 4. This is pretty much androids only chance to win me over.
Big things I like about iPhone:
-Slick media integration. I use my iPhone purely as a consumption device. Mostly pandora while running and while driving.
-Battery life. I don't have to do a thing and I can stretch out my iPhone 4 to last the whole weekend. There are usually a couple days a week where I dont even have to charge it overnight.
-App Store. I wouldn't really consider this a huge advantage these days, but iOS is still a sliver better. The only advantage the app store has for me personally is the apps I have already purchased. I am already entrenched in their ecosystem so its much easier for apple to convince me to get their next phone.
-Ecosystem. I was already entrenched in Apple before I got the iPhone. My ipod alarm clock easier became a charging dock for the iPhone. The FM transmitter I have in my car easily worked with the iPhone.
The Droid Bionic and the SGS2 are two phones which pique my curiosity. A year ago I wouldn't even touch android. Their new phones are definitely becoming interesting to me though.
100% of iPhone users believe this FUD about people who think differently than themselves.
sigh...anyhoo, I much prefer Android.
it appears that the SGS2 will be better than the iPhone5 (the only difference being network speed and battery on Vz--carrier issue, not phone issue), and the iPhone should have superior screen resolution.
It's at least as good as iPhone 4, likely superior.
except if you want anything useful like say an app to pay for starbucks you need the closed ecosystem. it took months to finally get the official app on android.

the app has my starbucks cards in there and i can pay with my phone instead of a credit card. android had an unofficial hack app but i'm not giving my credit card # to some funny internet alias
Or... I can just as easily pay with my credit card and not have to bother with another useless app.
1 less card on my keychain/wallet.
And 1 more egg in the 'Phone Basket' (should it get lost, stolen, etc.). 😉
It took a week for a hacker to make his own app that I'm still using because it's better than the official version. With, of course, a widget.except if you want anything useful like say an app to pay for starbucks you need the closed ecosystem. it took months to finally get the official app on android.
