iPhone not holding charge no matter what.

So I have a "friend" who's been complaining about her phone not hold charge. It's a 3GS. She went to the apple store and had they gave him a brand new 3GS, but after charging fully to 100%, as soon as she unplugs, the phone would drop to 50%. Switched to a new SIM card, same thing. Switched a new charge cable, same thing. They even upgraded her to a brand new 4G and new SIM card again, same thing. I was joking that she has a curse on all the electronic devices she touches.

Don't know if anybody had the same experience or know somebody who's going through the same thing.

Try a different plugy, different outlets. If it's happening to more than one phone then it's definitely not the phone that's causing it.

Just a hunch, but throw the $2 eBay China Express charger and cable in the trash where they belong???

I've found Apple devices to be very sensitive to counterfeit and 3rd tier accessories with regards to giving them a proper charge.

Switched a new charge cable, same thing.

I know my 3gs is really picky about charging cables. I had one cable that was brand new and it would say something about not able to charge with this accessory. So I got a new cable and it works fine

Just get a new battery off ebay.
