.pdf files.
You'd have to use a PDF app and email it that way. I use PDF master. You have to open the PDF with the app and then email from within the app. Currently iOS doesn't support anything other than attaching a photo.

Then I think you're SOL with anything unless it has dropbox support.

You'd have to save the file to your dropbox, then use an email app that has dropbox support, like Mailbox:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mailbox/id576502633?mt=8

The sand boxed nature of iOS is specifically designed to prevent you from doing what you're looking to do. Every apps files are independent of each others. The only "share" that is accessible to other apps is Photos, I believe. I also believe there's nothing really stopping Apple from making a "Document Center" that can be used as a repository of files accessible by multiple applications other than stubbornness.

Android time maybe? This was one of the many issues of iOS that pushed me to Android.

I might switch back but the S5 doesn't seem too exciting right now. This is my first iPhone. I didn't think they would exclude something so basic. Mailbox would be fine but it doesn't support my business email.

Nexus 5, Moto X, Z2, One 2014, Oppo Find 7 (Quad HD).. There are tons of phones way better than S5, why limit yourself to Samsung?

Shrug. I find the S5 to be fine. It might not be exciting and crazy like how Samsung made the S4 announcement, or how Apple announcements are perceived, but it's similar to a conservative approach that HTC took. The specs are fine. The phone is an all around flagship. The Z2 and Find 7 are massive compared to the S5.

Almost spat my coffee out. Anyway, BB10 does this.
