LOL, your analogy of iPhone = Corvette vs. Blackberry = Civics is akin to saying Audi > Bentley. Yup, it's that ridiculous.

WinMo represent!

Currently have an HTC P4350/T-Mobile Wing. Going to get an HTC Touch Pro.

It would be nice if there was a $199 off-contract refurb iphone that I could buy to play with. I've never used one, but no A2DP or MMS prevents it from ever being my primary phone.

How is that ridiculous? The iPhone has been out for over a year now and no one has come close to replicating the internet the way the iPhone does.

To do so, you have to modify your phone from its original state to even get close.

How does this analogy not work? Or are you just ignoring it because of the cars I chose?

A browser is not the only reason to have a PHONE!! E-mail on the Blackberry is a million times better than the iPhone, though I must admit I've only had limited exposure to the iPhone.

If all you want to do is surf the web all, then that's fine, but a lot of us need more or different things from our device.

I don't own an iPhone but people who say their WinMo phone can do "anything" an iPhone can do.

I don't need to bring up the Internet thing, as it's been gone over plenty here, so...

Visual Voicemail > everything you could possibly install on a WinMo device combined.

I almost considered getting an iPhone just for that feature, and please don't bring up the 3rd party company that has a beta version of something similar to V.V that runs on WinMo phones. Visual Voicemail is maybe the best thing I've seen on any cell phone ever.

I do not miss constantly scrolling on my Windows Mobile or Symbian device, and I don't miss having to go to Anandtech's mobile site because forums don't render properly in those browsers.

Real interwebs like flash support? you FAIL!

I have an iPhone (hacked to T-Mobile), and the only thing I'm remotely interested in is the HTC Dream with Android, I'm going to pre order one or 2 since I'm eligible for an upgrade.

I've gone through countless smart phones & PDA's, the iPhone is the best for surfing the net.

Visual voicemail is meh. Also, Verizon has it currently on the LG Voyager and is expanding it to the Dare and other phones.

Sitting here and getting paid for posting on my iPhone ftw. this is an easy job.

I'm sitting here at my desk posting from my work computer. Me>your iPhone. Congrats on the whole "internet on the cellphone" thing the rest of the US has had on smartphones for 5+ years.

So does my Blackberry Curve 8330. Point?

Welcome to the 21st century. I had this on my Motorola Q I got 3 years ago (and my step-dad had it on his Palm Treo 4+ years ago). Once again what is your point?
I have used every operating system for every phone, and not ONE of them even comes CLOSE to what the iPhone can do.

Oh? Let me know when you get a MMS message with a picture in it. Oh and Apple had to release a version 2 to be able to actually do what Blackberry has for years.

I do not miss constantly scrolling on my Windows Mobile or Symbian device, and I don't miss having to go to Anandtech's mobile site because forums don't render properly in those browsers.

Nor do I, but Opera mini or the Blackberry browser on my Curve have both been able to correctly render AT's mobile site. Congrats on being able to do everything a Blackberry/Treo has been able to do for a while now.

it's all the elitist of the computing world that hates the phone. You know all the ones who doesn't use window but rather Linux, create websites/HTML with their notepad, and uses nokia e70 (someone is going to post that link pretty soon)

I use Windows XP Pro SP 2 at home, and work is also Windows XP. I do create simple HTML in notepad for the simple fact that other programs add scripts (and formatting). It's much easier to create small HTML pages in notepad, not full websites, but simple pages are for sure. I actually use the Blackberry Curve 8330, and haven't used a Nokia for years.

You want all your "reps for iPhone", go to the Apple sub-forum and stop acting like a typical Apple idiot who thinks they are "better" because they have an Apple product. With the exception of the iPod (which the earlier generations were much better. I had a gen 3 and just got the 160 gb one. Gen 3>current other then HD size.) and their desktops for media creation work (which PC's are now very close to Mac's in this area as well), Apple products are way too hyped.

And your mobile intrawebs suck compared to the iphone. The major reason why I haven't moved to a personal smart phone.

Opera mini works almost exactly the same as iPhone's Safari. They really aren't that different. One of my best friends has the iPhone, and for personal friends and crap type phone it's great. For any kind of business and professional use I will keep my Blackberry. BTW have fun on your inTRAwebs, I will go ahead and use the inTERwebs (since my phone wasn't provided by my company I don't have inTRAwebs on it, although there again Blackberry's are better for that also).

ALMOST is the key word here.

No user interface and internet on a cell phone is even close to being as user friendly at the iPhones internet. And i can see the real website, not a crappy mobile version of the site.

You lost your battle when you compared the Motorola Q to the iPhone. Anything motorola has made has been the biggest piece of crap phone ever. I went thru 3 RAZRS simply because they are built like shit.

I can see the real website on my BlackBerry. When was the last time you used one? Never?

To set the record straight...Apple stole VV from another company, then got sued by that company due to patent violation. Now all of the players, VZW, Sprint, Apple, etc all license the technology. And yes this is the EXACT SAME software on all phones iPhone, Voyager, Instinct, etc its not something totally unique the Apple developed. This Apple smugness needs to stop.

Plus I like this little feature called cut/copy and paste...

I fixed that for you.

Thanks....those were just so glaringly obvious, I must have forgotten to include them. But don't forget that its an APPLE product...so naturally it cures cancer as well as being a phone.

Proof?

What? It's in the Flavor-Aid! ;)

I just bought a 3g, btw. It's nice, impressive even, but I don't get the whole "ZOMG iPHONE!@!111oneone" thing. I guess you have to be an apple person to get it.

I'm waiting for the Dev Team to unlock it - So I can use it on T-Mobile and give my PDA to my sister.

If you didn't know already, the new 2.1 firmware is out for the iPhone. I find it to be a disappointment, as Apple is clearly trying to hide the issues this phone has with a 3G signal. It does have quite a list of fixes though, so hopefully it's not a total waste.

Yea, I saw the 2.1 was out - I'm passing on it till dev team gets a one-click Jailbreak out. I'm using the iPhone on gophone atm, and it'll kill my service if I upgrade.
