I've never had any problems with it at all for single execution conversions. There seem to be some bugs when I've queued up dozens of movies for conversion. But I can say first-hand that it has excellent quality, and does a decent job with file sizes. It's slow though - I have a Core 2 Duo E6700 (2.6GHz) with 4GB RAM and Vista 64 Ultimate.

How big are the resulting files?

Can you adjust down the quality to reduce the file size?

How long does it take to convert a typical full-length movie?

About 800MB for a 2.5 hour movie.

Yes, but I've never tried. There's plenty of options in there.

A long time. :) I don't really remember, so take this number as untrustworthy, but my recollection is 45 minutes for a 2.5 hour movie...
