Already did. 🙂 Apple quoted 3-4 weeks and I'm guessing Verizon will deliver in around that time frame too but is quoting a conservative date. At any rate, this will give me some time to decide on a case and other things like that. My S4 still works "OK."

Has anyone tried one of those Qi charging pads which connects to the Lightning port and sits between the case and the iPhone? Do they work OK and if so, any recommendations? I'd like to have some wireless charge capability for use in my car.

Had one on my 6s+ for awhile. Worked fine, but make sure you don't get the single coil pads. They're kinda picky about positioning. Also you're pretty much limited to tpu cases. The charger is too bulky for most hard cases.

Are any of these Qi devices MFi (made for iPhone/iPad/iPod touch) certified?

I'm extremely wary of unauthorized Lightning devices after some bad experiences.

My cables finally started lasting more than a year, it was like clockwork, all brands would flake out after a year, even the Apple branded ones.

I bought the Spigen Neo Hybrid - I suppose I can buy a Qi kit off Amazon and if it doesn't work with it, return it. A friend said he has successfully used Qi through that case before, so I've got my fingers crossed.

Nope - matte black. I preferred silver but I hate that white bezel.

Yes the white bezel is a distraction!
The back order dates are ridiculous on these devices!
Will probably get worse as the holiday rush progresses and the Note 7 refugees have no other choice. Pixel? LOL!

Has anyone been trying out some Bluetooth headphones? I bought two pairs from Amazon, but I've only tried out one so far. Most of the time, it isn't bad, but there are a few times where they will just cut out for a split second.

That's typical. Something I've experienced with every phone / Bluetooth headphones I've ever used.

So i got my iphone 7 for the 1st time today. Basically I figured how to use it but how do I get wallpapers and how can I transfer books and other media from my computer to the phone? It seem I can't just drag and drop it like I can do it on android and this sucks. :frowning:

Use iCloud.com to upload to iCloud Drive or install the applet. Otherwise, just find it online with your browser. Use the share button for options like "open in iBooks" or "use as wallpaper."

You have to use iTunes or iCloud music library to get music on the phone. Apple doesn't want to do anything to make it easy because that would hurt their iTunes music store sales.

I got some really cheap ones - less than $20 - on Amazon and that hasn't been an issue in the few hours I've tried using them. Even works fine across the room. And the sound quality isn't absolutely terrible either, to my surprise. My main problem with them is they are large and don't fit my ears well.

I got a super-cheap pair of RevJams from Amazon on a $10 slickdeal that I haven't tested yet. I plan to give them a shot soon so I will report back.

I use Google Play Music. Upload all my songs via a PC, then whatever device I use be it Android or IOS has my music ready to go.

So the Anandtech review is out and already sites are quoting it saying that the new phones charge slowly. I know it ships with a 5W charger (stupid Apple - so many 3rd party 10-12W options in the same form factor) but I think tech savvy people are using higher wattage chargers. I wish we could see those results and if it compares with the competition.

Also the LTE battery life tests mention that only the 20nm Qualcomm version was tested. I am curious how the Intel modem version did.

Otherwise it was a very comprehensive review that I haven't finished reading.

Do not get Jet Black!

Since 3Dmark performance / benchmark testing would make the device run hot, I removed it from the case. It's the first time I've removed it from the case since I opened the brand-new phone around 9/27 or 9/28.

That's when I noticed the speckles. They don't wipe off!

The Incipio NGP case had no particles or contaminants:

There are no speckles near the other cutouts at the bottom. [actually , there are] I just have no idea where this came from.

I only chose the Jet Black color because I speculated it would have greater resale value in 1y if I kept everything in perfect condition. That worked out well for me previously. I got my Rose Gold 6s Plus last year at launch and sold for $660 more than a week after the new phone launched. Looks like that's not going to happen with this one.

I will return it and get a regular flat/matte black instead. well I guess not since the return period is 14 days and this was purchased on 9/25.

Anyone having issues with their i7 phones? I just recently bought an 256Gb model iPhone 7 and have noticed odd network switching issues. One time LTE didn't even come up after switching off Wi-Fi. I had to reboot the phone to get any networking back. Seeing more 3G than I've ever did on my SE and other iPhone since 3yrs ago.
