iPhone 6s Benchmark Thread

I wouldn't use Apple if you gave me an Iphone for free and then paid me the outright cost. Way too locked down and you are forced to use the Apple ecosystem. An Android for half the price would be slower in benchmarks but next to indistinguishable in real life.

This is pretty off topic. Your hater screed would probably be better suited to Engadget. I'll stick with Apple over a creepy stalker phone.

Very original and enlightening. Thank you for sharing.

Have you ever used an iPhone? They are extremely good phones.

I posted GFXBench results already for all 4 main tests. Will be curious to see if your results differ.

The other two versions of the app.

6s non-Plus. My phone was very warm so I was probably being throttled.

If you have the time I would love to see some of these benchmarks run again with is power mode turned on. Thanks!

And it is the SoC(Apple A family) that throttles less. Others throttle much more, but not like SD810.

Just got my 6s this morning. Here are some benchmarking results for your viewing pleasure.
Thanks for the benches. Does it get warm during heavy use at all? I can see they bumped the clock speed quite a bit, what about cooling. Can you get RealTemp or smth to monitor the temps. Heh.

It seems to get warmest when charging.

It got warm (not hot by any means) when I ran the JetStream benchmark, but it didn't seem to throttle even after a couple of repeated runs.

BTW, according to JetStream, it's 40% faster than my AMD Athlon II X3 435 desktop running at 2.9 GHz, with Windows 7 and Firefox 41.

Web based benchmarks do not seem that indicative of overall CPU performance anymore, at least cross-compared across OSes.

While the CPU is certainly faster than before, we can't say how much of that is due to the highly, highly optimized browser and specific optimizations targeted to the common web benchmarks.

You have to give it to Apple though, their latest browser is untouchably well optimized at least for these benchmarks.

After lots of heavy 3D gaming it gets a little warm, but by no means uncomfortable.
