The only thing good with the Galaxy is when you switch to an iPhone.

That doesn't make sense. Apple does nothing to facilitate the move from a Galaxy device. You start from scratch.

Meanwhile Samsung will try to import stuff from your iCloud if you want. But its a one-way street.

Congrats - what color did you go for? I initially thought the white one was better as it made the curve more visible and hides fingerprints better. But after seeing the black color with a dark/black background, it's a pretty sick combination.

It's really a shame US carriers aren't carrying the blue or green variants.

Black/sapphire, the white looks kinda plasticy in pictures. Backordered so I"m a week or 2 away from my precious, but I"m very excited. Saw some 4k video shot on it and was shocked at the quality for price.

He has 16 posts and he says that the only good thing about Galaxy devices is when you switch to the iPhone.

Don't feed the troll.

I think I'm going to get an Edge.. 32GB or 64GB is my main hang up. I'm currently using 41GB on my 64GB M7 but thats just 2+ years of junk accumulated on it..

Seems pretty obvious that if you use 41GB over the life of the phone to get the 64GB model so it can have a 2+ year life too.

But I get you might want to scale down as needs change. I used to couldn't live without a full 64GB MicroSD. Recently I discovered I haven't had that card in my phone for weeks and never knew. So 32GB could work for a modern me.

Just be honest with yourself.

?!?!?!
S6 performs twice faster than the Iphone 6
Every single review indicates that the S Camera (f/1.9, 16MP, 4k native recording, etc) is Significantly better than the Iphone 6.

You may be confused with S5, as it has comparable spec with Iphone 6.

Anandtech benchmarks shows that the iPhone 6 won most benchmarks. From what I read online about cameras, the iPhone 6 and S6 are virtually identical and it comes down to preference.

Because they used the chrome browser on the S6 while using safari on the iPhone 6. Those are the only benchmarks that the iPhone 6 did better in. Did you forget to read that little note in the preview? Those benchmarks don't reflect real-world usage nearly as much as basemark II OS does.

Bad choice i guess. The reliability iPhone is offering, it is beyond the imagination of samsung till date.

Well, that's the luxury of Jump - I can upgrade in 6 months (zero bucks for the iPhone 6s). I love Apple's reliability but the reviews for the s6 edge makes me want to give it a shot. ;

Besides, to be honest my iPhone 6 has been kinda flaky - stutters and the occassional forced reset.

Maybe in benchmarks, but every review said there is still occasional lag on the UI / the software still needs some work (touchwiz).

Getting rid of (or more accurately hiding it) Touchwiz is as simple as installing Nova or Apex launcher and they're snappy UIs compared to Touchwiz.

That hides part of it. Touchwiz is more than a launcher, it is a skin for the whole OS including the settings and the quicktoggles.

Touch wiz has improved a lot and I think it is pretty clear that the S6 is in a class of its own in terms of performance and build quality.

Also I love how Anandtech always puts the iPad Air 2 in phone benchmarks as if it's even a fair comparison. It is pretty obvious that they do it so Samsung has the top spot on the charts on the min number of tests. It's obvious apple bias if you know what to look for.

It made a noticeable difference, to me at least, on an S4.

Both Apex and Nova have been noticeably snappier than Touchwiz circa 2013 in my experience. Both are good but I prefer Apex.

The review show "Before you Buy" on twit.tv streaming network has noted that Samsung devices starting with the Note 4 have been toning down the modifications. So with newer hardware and a more streamlined touchwiz then any slow down should be less noticeable and if it still bothers someone they can try the launcher. Sure the settings are still skinned but I maybe spend 10% of the time at most playing with settings and I do tend to fiddle with settings in my computer and phone.

They also include other tablets, so I don't think that's why -- it's just to compare different SoCs (notice the Tegra Tablet and Nexus 9?).
