iPhone 5

Found about an upgrade offer from AT&T for $99 for a 16GB iPhone5, so I went to the store today to check it out. Turns out that turning in a 4S gets you a better deal, so I wound up paying a grand total of $13 for a brand new iPhone 5. 😀

My contract is up in December and I'm planning on staying with AT&T anyway, so I figured why not. Also, I don't care too much about having the newest model, so I'll be able to avoid the rush for the 5S when it comes out. Bonus: I'm still grandfathered in on the original "unlimited" data plan.

That's pretty much it; just wanted to say that I'm loving it so far. LTE is currently blowing my mind. It's almost as fast as my hardwired Comcast line at home. D:

Great deal!

Yes, LTE is amazing. I have to say that from a design and battery life perspective, I think I liked my iPhone 4 better than my 5, though the 5 is certainly much faster. I hope they go away from this aluminum construction for the iPhone 6, because it is much easier to ding and scuff than the stainless steel of the 4. I think the ideal setup would have the steel rim of the 4, but with an aluminum back rather than glass. I don't really care much one way or the other about the taller screen on the 5, but I guess on balance I do prefer it for viewing videos over the screen on the 4.

I don't mind the aluminum; I got a case (Speck Pixelskin HD) so hopefully it won't get banged up too bad.

btw at least for me LTE way faster than my hard wired Comcast connection.

I think Amazon even takes the 4s for over $200 straight up. Never trade in 😉

I'm still on an original 4, I'm waiting for the 5S or whatever they come out with in the Fall. No need to jump on a 5 now when they should release something new for iOS7 in a few months.

And yet you went from a 4S to a 5. Since there is no 5S out I will conclude you made a move to upgrade to the newest model. :colbert:
