I can't see why Apple would do that again... but then again, they've done stupid crap plenty of times before.

Metal, matte plastic, or Gorilla Glass are all better options than cheap glass that scratches/cracks easily.

I vote for #1. The design of the Iphone 4 is about vanity not practicality. I don't expect that to change.

I've had the iPhone 4 for a while now, and I haven't been very careful with it. Long story short: given what I've done to mine, you have to be a special kind of stupid to break the glass. I can't see them changing it for another 2 years or so.

Agreed...I have no problem with the materials or form of my iPhone 4. In fact I like it much more than my previous iPhone 3G materials/form factor.

Not sure if I trust Apple with liquid metal. I mean if they can't get glass and stainless steel right, kinda makes you wonder if they are competent enough to deal with advanced materials.

hmm, iPHone 5? is it a update for solving the antenna problems? maybe.
Personally I think the next iPhone will be an updates tweak of the iPhone 4 much like the 3GS was a upgrade/tweak of the 3G.
But I believe the really really big change will be the iPad.

I think it will have a high quality brushed metal finish. I'm saying it will go inline with the Leica like design as mentioned above. However, I don't think it will have the camera case plastic...it will be the brushed metal stuff. I mean real metal, not metal looking plastic.
the scratches add character to brushed metal.
Oh BTW, plastic camera finish isn't what it used to be. Even Leica can't make it that way. Making things eco friendly kind of took that feeling away.

Weren't you whining about alleged threadcrapping in this forum in the past? Not only that, but why did you quote yourself to do so?

I don't think we'll see much change until iPhone 6. Then again, it seems like the current design has been problematic (white, antenna, and then the back supposedly cracking a from friction with cases), so it would seem it would warrant some tweaking.
