iPhone 5 power button replacement program

Here's hoping that they also have a recall on the batteries on the iPhone 5. Really poor how much the batteries have degraded in two years vs older iPhone models.

Bigger screen. LTE. Its not that the batteries degraded. Mine is perfectly fine tbh.

I'm referring to the ability to hold battery capacity. Yes battery wear over time. And it's a general guideline that after 500 cycles, it's typical to have 80% of the original capacity. I've just broke 500 cycles on my launch day iPhone 5. Current capacity is only at 1050mAh. While my launch day iPhone 4 with over 700 cycles, it's current capacity is still at 1375mAh. There's an alarming number of other users on MacRumors with similar battery capacities. Lets see 5s and 5c users in a year and a half time.
 
i had my iphone5 replaced after I dropped it on carpet and the power/sleep button stopped working. the guy in store said it was a pretty common problem for launch day 5's and swapped it after checking for water damage
 
Had to have mine replaced for the same thing. Should have been out of warranty but they messed something up in the system and it was still in warranty four months after it should have ended. Cost around $30-$40 for the advanced replacement.

Agreed. I have had a 3G, a 4 and a 5, and overall have been least happy with the 5. Obviously it's a very fast, light phone with a beautiful screen, but the battery life was, at best, marginal to begin with, and it has gotten markedly worse over time. Actually it might be my least favorite Apple product I've owned (and I have owned 4 Macs, many iPods, 3 iPhones and 3 iPads). I really look forward to getting a 6.
