iphone 5 buffering problems

Anyone else have buffering/streaming issues with iphone 5? Whether I'm on AT&T LTE, 4G, or even wifi, the iphone cannot manage to keep a live stream buffered. I can download tens of megabytes instantly but I can't keep a 10 kbps stream going without buffering for 20 seconds for every 10 seconds of play. At first I thought the problem was with iheartradio, but the problem seems to extend to any streaming data source. Youtube videos work fine because they download quickly all at once. But anything requiring a constant live connection dies over and over again like clockwork.

I tried to ask this question on the apple support forum but they apparently block all new posts. I literally cannot post anything without getting an "You have included content in your post that is not permitted" error.

I have not been having that problem, no. But I'm on Sprint. I've been streaming iTunes Radio and YouTube over LTE all day every day for months.

Have you tried turning it off and back on again? Reseting network settings?

I've tried restarting, disabling wifi/bluetooth, disabling LTE, etc but no good so far.

I don't mean turning your radios on and off, I mean:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings

This will erase all your saved wifi settings, you'll have to re-connect and re-enter keys.

I will try it but I have the same problem on cellular streaming as well so I don't know what good that would do.

I had an iphone 5 and hated it. I ran into the exact same problem you have and found that I could stream fine if I was downloading a large file in the background simultaneously. A nuisance to do, but it worked.
