Did the 4.1 update fix your issues? I'm still having problems and it's driving me nuts. Thinking about taking it to an Apple Store to get a replacement, but the closest one is an hour away.
If the proximity sensor issue is due to a faulty sensor, no software update in the world is going to fix it. Same with the antenna problems. The hardware is either broken or a flawed design.
All software updates can do are to 'reflow' your habits to make it less of an issue, or try to cover up the issue entire, as they did with the signal bars for the antenna issue.
It's not a hardware problem...
It's not a hardware problem...
So their software developers are having trouble isolating the glitch then? If they claimed to have resolved it with 4.1 and people are still having problems, that implies its a hardware problem.
Apparently it IS a hard ware issue. I called apple support about my brand new iPhone4 and they schedule a swap out at the local store. They said it is affecting a portion of the iPhones and since it has 4.1 on it (came that way out of the box) then it is defective.
Do I have to drive to an Apple Store or can I have them mail me a new phone or pick one up at AT&T?
