I'm wondering if anybody knows how often the signal strength in dbm is updated while you are in the field test mode. How exactly does it work? Does it take a moving average of current signal and then update the screen like once every 10 seconds or something? It seems like it updates slowly sometimes and other times it updates fast.
I think I figured out how to tell when it is switching towers too. Its when I'm under UMTS RR info and where it says Cell Id. When that number and letter combination switches my signal changes at the same time or shorly after. Any insight would be awesome! If anybody has or knows where to get a detailed explanation of whats going on in the field test mode that would be awesome! I'm using the most current software too. The 4.2
