OP, jailbreaking does not void your warranty. You can revert back to stock with a restore, easy peasy.

Jeezz, I can't believe how some people think the jailbreaking process is hard or something or if it will void your warranty.
For some version, its as easy as using your iphone to go to jailbreakme.com and slide the button.

There's nothing wrong with not wanting to jailbreak it to do some basic customization. Some people don't want to. Just like you shouldn't have to root an Android phone to do some simple things, you shouldn't have to jailbreak an iPhone to do some simple things. Both platforms have their downsides.

Examples of customization in Android without rooting were given, and in response you raged out with an app for the iPhone that requires JB?
QueBert rages out a lot against Android.

Are there any good examples of iPhone customization without JB? Maybe you could post some to help the OP out.

I'd like to know this myself. Seems that without Jailbreaking, you can't do ANYTHING except shuffle icons around and set the background.

Honestly, I miss my iPhone3G because I have a lot of iApps I'd like to be able to use again, and the way it meshes with iTunes is very seamless.

Yes and it looks like "EVERY OTHER IPHONE IN THE WORLD" right? Just admit you don't know what you're talking about. Who cares if I had to JB to accomplish it? I rooted my Droid to make it do what I wanted. And guess what? even after that I still couldn't. I couldn't mimic my iNav theme, being limited to 5 home screens sucks big times IMHO, but hay that's just me. And as for the W7 mimicked shit, uhhh no. It has square icons but that's where the similarities end. Desktop Visualizer isn't that powerful, all it's doing is replacing icons.

HTC and Samsung phones have more than 5 home screens by default.
