I really like some of the Vaja cases, but that's just a bit too much coin for me.

I'm currently looking into Sena cases and specifically this one.

Anyone have any other recommendations in that style/funcionality? Would just just rather carry one item (phone + wallet) if possible.

 
I'm holding off until the phone is released as there should be a slew more cases to choose from. Then again, I was actually happier with my original iPhone unprotected (i got more scratches from the case than without).
 
I'm leaning towards this one. The only thing holding me back is the price.

I also like this one. I have something silmilar to this on my 1st gen Nano, and it still looks new.

I need to see if the iPhone is too big to carry in my pocket before I order.

 
if anyone finds a completely minimalistic case, please post a link. I've been looking and I'm coming up dry.
 
^^ looks nice! I'll probably end up getting the front/screen protector + an actual case. I'm more worried about dropping the phone than scratching the screen.
 
I'll prob. also get the 3d Invisible shield but my problem is finding a good sport arm band so I can take it to the gym.
 
Just of note, the Sena cases are 20% off for pre-order 3g cases and there's an additional 10% off coupon using SJUL10. Not bad for some high quality leather cases. Not as good as Vaja or Piel Frama but good enough for Apple. I saw the Sena cases in an Apple store.

I may also consider a minimalist case but I'm worried about having at least some protection on the phone in case of a drop. I know some of the leather cases with a little padding inside helps, but not sure about some of the other types besides the big rubber/silicon ones that look pretty toyish sometimes. If there was a smooth titanium looking one with some neoprene or cushioning inside, I'd be interested in one of those kinds too.

Best thing about it is im getting my iphone at the King of prussia mall, and they have an invisibleshield store there so I will just take the phone right over and get it covered.

I had an invisible shield for my old mp3 player and it works amazingly well.

Well, I saw one of the ZAGG Invisible Shields for the original iPhone. I was pretty impressed, so I jumped on the pre-order deal. $20, full body coverage, free shipping (if you order before friday). Otherwise, it's $25 + ~$8 shipping. Heads up for anyone interested 🙂

I'll agree that the case itself is crappy looking, but I was looking for something that would allow me to wear it on my arm. I use my ipod that way when I go for my runs / walks. I have seen many people do the same when they workout. Clearly, you must not do either.😛

Since the 3G iphone doesn't support A2DP, bluetooth is not an option.

Got my new invisishield on (there was a booth at the mall I bought my 3g from) I love it. It adds a great grip to the phone, and its really comfy in my hand now.

It's a nice case, but it seems like it doesn't close as nicely as the previous DLO leather case that I had for the original iphone.
 
I just got this Belkin case for mine today and so far so good.

I also ordered the Bodyguardz protective skin for myself and my wifes Iphones.

The same price as the Zagg invisiblesheild but comes with 2 full sets (front and back) and are getting better reviews when compared to the invisiblesheild.
 
I canceled my ZAGG order - it was going to take too long (mid August)... I ended up getting a case like Teetu posted, but the brand was "Contour". I got it at the Apple store for 20 bucks + $15 for the anti-glare screen cover (which works really well, actually). I'd post pics, but the only camera I have at the moment is the phone! LOL
 
Wow. I am currently looking for a case, and these links are great. The case supply at the local AT&T store was pretty limited, and after seeing these links I'm glad I waited. I guess it's off to the Apple store sometime this week to see if they have any of these in stock.
