Iphone 1st Gen sellers

Im looking to buy an Iphone but the price is too expensive. I was thinking of buy the first generation Iphones thinking it will be cheaper, but AT&T told me that they don't sell them anymore. eBay is no good and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

Oh and I don't mind paying for a data package. The problem is that I used my 2 year contract to buy a palm treo and the phone just stacks up as nothing compared to the iPhone.

If you don't like Ebay, and you live near a big city, I would try Craiglist. Searching the nearest large city to myself (Denver), I found listings for literally dozens of iPhones. The nice thing about Craiglist is that it's free, and you can drive over and check out the iPhone in person before you pay for it.
