IPC Suggestion

STARTECH - 4U RM ATX BLACK 5BA runs about 130 shipped and worth every dime we have about 40+ of these on our corporate network at the jobbie wouldn't think abou anything else....

Startech is a focused reseller - they manufacture little if anything. Their 4U cases are actually Evercase/Ever Case (some spell it either way). Those are decent cases but will be closer to $150. shipped unless you can buy in some quantity.

Newegg has 39 models of 4U cases - just search on- rackmount 4U case -to get a listing. They sell the Evercase too for $145. shipped but it would be easy to compare its features with others there at a lower cost. Find some you like, copy the make and model numbers and hit the price search engines like Froogle. Newegg seldom has the best bottom-line price on cases unless it's on special.

Also check http://www.buildtoorderservers.com for server cases as they seldom show up in the price search engines.

If you need an excellent PSU for your server, check the Zippy in the link below...

And don't forget the FS/T section here and eBay.

Im doing some research... on.....

Enlight
Evercase
STARTECH ( which does look very similar to Evercase's)
HEC
Norco ( mmmm price looks good but... have to do more research on Quality.. i mean, 4U for 68.00 @ mwave, mm wont take the risk till i see more reviews)

What's the risk? It's a case for Pete's sake - an inanimate object...

I added a bit more to my earler post as well.

I see that the Evercase sold on Newegg comes with a 300W PSU... It's not a bad PSU, but a PSU shouldn't come with a case like this. It's not likely to suit even half of the purchasers.

You might also want to check the Codegen ($80.00 at Newegg) - one of the few that have as many hd bays if you need them.
