Actually, the iPaq 3150 is available at ubid.com for around $159, and there is a $20 rebate for new uBid owners. Real cheap for a handheld whose only defect is 16 MB of memory and a B&W screen. Can't eGay it for more money though!

Found out that you can get an additional $50 off through the compaq site's rebate section for the iPaq 3135. Although it says its specific to 3135, typing in a serial number for the 3650 showed that I was eligible for the rebate!!

Can anyone else verify that the 3150 qualifies for the $50 Compaq rebate? I called Compaq and they basically read the online form I was looking at. If the serial number deal works, the Ubid prices is a real hot deal!

Here's the link to a current ubid auction:

RESTRICTIONS
This offer is limited to one rebate per qualifying purchase. Valid while supplies last for purchases made in the U.S., U.S. territories and on U.S. military bases only. The rebate is not available for PC, monitor and printer purchases made from Wholesale/Warehouse Clubs (such as Costco, BJ?s, Sam?s Club, etc.), or on refurbished Compaq iPAQ Pocket PCs purchased through Compaq Factory Outlet or other resellers. Promotion is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

Hmm... does uBid count? I'm fairly certain the UPC on the 3150 will qualify through the online verifier system. I know this a stupid question, but would it be illegal to change the 3150 on the uBid receipt to 3135? Getting a 206 Mhz Pocket PC for $100 is pretty nice!

I wouldn't risk it, which is why I'm not posting this on my site.

3135 does not equal 3150 in my eyes. They can easily reject your rebate, and you'd have no recourse.

Online rebate entry at Compaq site has to be accompanied by the UPC label which you will need to mail to Compaq. It will have a UPC code of 3150 which is not eligible for the rebate.

So what's the difference between the H3150 and H3135? They seem to have the exact same specs?

Doh! Answered my own question:

Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC H3150
174003-001 U.S. Commercial

Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC H3135
174003-003 U.S. Retail

iPaq's rule. I have had one since day 2 of release by Compaq. It is still worth what I paid for it last year. Funny.

There isn't any. They are the same unit. However, the 3135 comes with a CF sleeve whereas the 2150 doesn't.
