iPads - Apple Configurator

Anyone know if there's a specific setting in Configurator to prevent the ipads from transferring files to a computer using the USB cable?

I haven't used Configurator - and our tech person doesn't think there was a setting - it just happens.

Per our central tech support people (I haven't tried it myself, since they're usually pretty trustworthy) Configurated iPads won't be able transfer over USB (I'm assuming you're trying to get pictures/movies off with Image Capture or iPhoto or something) to any machine. Some google searching indicated that it might still work if you use the Mac that Configurated them in the first place.

There's no setting, it just prevents it.

Isn't this a design on Apple's part? Write only?

Unless it's photos you put on to the ipad using an SD card or similar (the apple add on they sell) at which point it'll show up when you plug the ipad in to a PC or Mac.
