ipad mini 2 won't connect to Netflix

I have an ipad mini 2 that won't connect to Netflix. Unless I uninstall and reinstall the app each time I want to use Netflix. This makes no sense at all. I have an iphone 5s that connects to Netflix every time without a hitch. Have tried different Wi-Fi locations. iphone works fine. ipad does not.


Anyone else experience this? I have googled out of ideas.
 
I messed with this thing for like a total of 4 hrs. Finally I just decided to delete and restore the settings. When I first tried Netflix after this I got the same results as before.

Strangely, now it is connecting.
