iPad Air 3 Pro!

I figure they're changing the name so they can bring it in at a higher price point. Wonder if they'll continue the non "pro" line?

iPad sales peaked a while ago. If they bump up the price point, that will further deteriorate sales (and nudge Joe Consumer towards the non "Pro" mini 4). This isn't necessarily a "bad" thing for consumers; many people with pre-Air models (even as old as the 2011 iPad 2) are happily chugging along.

If this report is true, a 9.7" iPad with A9X/4 GB RAM could be people's next and last iPad (for a long while lol).

The iPad 2 is barely usable if you're running iOS 9.2.1. It's so sllloooooooowwwwww.

A "Pro" 9.7" iPad had better have 4 GB of RAM.

Anyhow, this seems just to be a marketing choice.

Sweet, I use an Air 2, but wife's Air has a cracked screen and she's an artist, she'll love one.

Didn't mean to state it's a good experience, but that device life spans are longer than ever. Those still clinging to iPad 2/3 are likely to have stayed with an older iOS.

Pretty much, we'll find out soon how good the next iPad is. 🙂

They will probably bump the price. If people are taking longer to upgrade, Apple will need to increase the price to continue the same profit levels over a longer amortization period.
