IP35 Pro and X-FI users

I had to RMA my P5N32-E SLI plus and now I'm looking at the P35 boards. I was set on the Abit IP35 Pro but I read a couple Newegg reviews that said the X-FI cards crackle during playback. I can't even remember the last time I used onboard sound so I'm not sure how far the quality has come, but I love my XFI and this is a deal breaker to me. It may have been an isolated incident but can anyone confirm?

So now I'm not sure which board to go with. I was looking at the MSI P35 Platinum, Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P and the GA-P35C-DS3R. eSATA and dual LAN are two things that I'd really like but the Gigabytes look like they come with the eSATA bracket adapter so no biggie I guess.

Just looking for a solid, stable mobo for <200.00.

Right now I have:
E6600
2GB DDR2-800 Crucial Ballistix
8800GTS 640
X-FI xtrememusic

Need to watch out for noobs at NewEgg. Always clean install the OS. Install all drivers and make an image file of this OS for future restoration. This is the easiest way to check for software and/or hardware compatibility issues.

I figured it probably was user error since that was the only place I found anyone complaining about it but just wanted to make sure.

I'll probably just stick with the IP35 Pro then.
