I remember back in my 4S days, not once but twice in the same day something I was typing got auto corrected to "vagina". Once was to my wife so that was OK but the second was to my supervisor.

Anyhow, since then I pretty much use the old fashioned correction method ... backspace and retype! I will use the word prediction however and I don't really have any complaints on either platform with those. Guess I am just easy to please.

Autocorrect is simply just trouble to me, no matter what OS. That's the first thing I turned off or at least check that it's not turned on on any phone/mobile device I use. Next word prediction, now that's how I was able to get comfortable (and fast and efficient) using a touchscreen keyboard.

Yes, I did go over this in depth with DLeRium some time ago, so I'm not going to rehash that discussion. He likes it when the keyboard corrects his typos (sometimes incorrectly), while I'd rather the keyboard predicts the word I'm typing so I only have to type one or two first letters, and then prediction bar mostly knows what word I'm typing next. If not, simply type another one or two letters and I'm set. It's a work flow preference. Other people like swiping better, which is something else entirely that I also can never be comfortable with.

Totally agree, my iPad mini's autocorrect is worse then the autocorrect on my ghetto Droid Incredible 2, it's just useless.
