I just did mine and all went well I think. Easier than the last jb using redsnow since you don't need to put the phone in DFU mode (not a big deal, but still quicker).

Works on all? except apple TV and the 32nm iPad 2.

SUPPORTED FIRMWARE: 5.1.1

SUPPORTED DEVICES:

- iPad3 (WiFi/CDMA/Global)
- iPad2 (WiFi/CDMA/GSM)
- iPad1
- iPhone 4S
- iPhone 4 (GSM), iPhone 4 (CDMA)
- iPhone 3GS
- iPod 4G
- iPod 3G

NOT SUPPORTED DEVICES:

- iPad2 WiFi R2 (new model)
- AppleTV 2
- AppleTV 3

I got an e-mail telling me that seas0npass for ATV2 has been updated to work with iOS 5.0.1 ( note: ATV2 iOS 5.0.1 = iOS 5.1.1 for all other devices ).

I'd actually like to try it since that would include the new GUI.

I used to jailbreak to add a bunch of stuff to my iPhone, but haven't recently because it's just too fiddly for me. The ONLY thing I miss is SBSettings because it's way too many steps to toggle WiFi, Bluetooth, and screen brightness.

Nice, does anyone here still on 5.0.1 jailbreak know how to upgrade to this?

There are instructions on the website

Update to ios 5.1.1 through itunes

1. Make a backup of your device in iTunes by right clicking on your device name under the ‘Devices’ menu and click ‘Back Up’. Make sure you have apps, contacts, notes, everything you want synced to your PC. Check the options to see if everything you want is synced.

2. Once your backup is complete return to your device and go to Settings – General – Reset – Erase all Content and Settings. This will make the jailbreak process much faster. Leave the iPhone on the first screen after reboot, don't bother doing any of the setup things.

3. Open Absinthe and be sure you are still connected via USB cable to your computer.

4. Click ‘Jailbreak’ and wait…. just be patient and do not disconnect your device.

5. Once jailbroken return to iTunes and restore your backup from earlier. Right click on your device name under the ‘Devices’ menu in the left panel of iTunes and click ‘Restore from Back Up…’ then select the latest backup you created before. (restoring this backup will return all the content previously on your device ie, apps, photos, etc.)

6. Thanks for using Absinthe, enjoy your jailbroken iDevice

If you had installous, re-install it and appsync before syncing apps back to your iphone or you will get install errors. You can use xbackup or another program to backup cydia apps and settings installed.

You can avoid the whole erase all settings and restore from backup thing and just update to 5.1.1 and then jailbreak it without erasing anything. It works, but is not recommended, not sure why.
