Just make a full backup of your iDevice on iOS 10 first. You can restore back to it if you decide to revert.

So, I updated my iphone 6s and my ipad air and the update went well. Not a fan of the "flat" look but i'll get used to it. My iphone 7 has not received ios11 prompt. It is on the apple beta program so I am assuming that's why? So far it's real quirky on the ipad air. Slow response and such. I will be installing it on my ipad pro 9.7 but will hold off installing it on my ipad pro 10.5 until I get used to it on the pro 9.7.

If you have the last GM candidate for iOS 11, then you won't get a prompt since the GM build is the same build. You already have the version that they're pushing out today.

I have since deleted my beta profile on my iPhone 7 Plus so from now on I'll only be getting the regular .x updates.

I was hoping for them to reduce Gaussian blur. It's still excessive.

iOS 11 cleared up some of my connectivity issues (the phone was nearly unusable in some areas that it used to work fine in). I'm assuming that likely means that I would've needed to reinstall iOS 10 to fix it prior. Apart from that, I haven't had anything really stand out to me. I guess it is far easier to select things to insert into texts now? They have that scrolling area on the bottom rather than having to click on the bar that would never come up.

WatchOS4 seems to pair a bit better with iOS now. I don't recall it ever really automatically providing me with controls, but now, if I turn on a YouTube video on my phone, the watch switches to a quick control thing for it. It's kind of nice if it's sitting on a desk and you don't want to get your hands in the way of the video.

Control Center being a single page is the single biggest feature, about time! It's annoying having to swipe up, then to the side just to adjust volume.

Tried some AR apps and had fun for a few minutes. Multiplayer board games would be a lot of fun I think, and you could even have the players be in different locations all looking at the same board.

The podcast app for itunes 12.7/ios 11 is absolutely dreadful now. Appears to have minimal settings to make it user friendly. Think I may have to go to the app store for the first time as it feels like it was designed by the brain dead.

I have to say that the worst part so far has been the App Store. It used to be pretty good about alerting me to new updates, but now, I usually never does. I turned on automatic app updating to help curtail that problem; however, it still doesn't check often. I checked a few days ago, and saw that a few apps had been listed as updated "today" and "yesterday", but when I forced a recheck (pulled down), it found about eight more apps to update.

Despising the built in podcast app so much, starting browsing reviews to see what you can do to make it better and the good news is that is seems all of them point out how much the update made it garbage. Bad news, there's almost no settings you have available to improve the experience.

Starting looking through different apps, but haven't seen anything the would get the data synced from iTunes on the computer which is how I want to manage it.
