i would use standard CF myself 😉

not bad if you actually need one, or 2.

Price went up to $79.95 (free shipping at least without padding) + TAX. They do charge tax in NY.

It first went up to $75 when I added it to the shopping cart, then upon refresh (was looking around to see if there was any special on 1GB microdrives), price jumped up again. Oh well, would have been a nice deal 🙁

Ordered one. Added the $7.99 Monitor Mirror 😀 for free shipping, and then they tagged on another $3.42 for tax. What the....? There's an Iomega B&M Store in Virginia?

Of course, last time I ordered from Iomega was for those $25 12x drives that got cancelled, so I'm not holding my breath.

crap, maybe i need to fix the link to the one tb used, it must have a referal discount in it

changed the link, now tb will get credit, but to make sure you guys are getting the lower price

Yes, the tb link does have a referral discount link! btw, my co-worker did order one at the $79.95 price. Is there a way she can cancel this order, and re-issue another one?

btw, thanks for point the discount out; got one for myself @$67 😉

according to the faq:

Does IomegaDirect charge sales tax?

IomegaDirect collects and remits sales tax in the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.

thats a lot of states...do they have some sort of factory outlet store or something??

that promotion code seems to be some sort of "affiliatepromo" code for special savings. i guess tbargaings is now an affiliate of iomega?? you prolly dont need the direct referral link, but make sure you put the correct code in the promo code box

Well, my co-worker was smart enough to call in customer service and cancel her order; she then re-issued a new order with the affilliate discount.

I hope this deal goes thru for everyone (not just for greedy egay people). I was waiting for newegg to add more refurb flash memory (knowing the 340MB microdrive eats juice like crazy), but this was too good to pass on.

I also got the mirror, pretty useful in some cases 😛

Can anybody confirm whether the 340MB's are "1st generation" (slower, more battery usage)? I heard only the 1GB was "2nd generation".

I believe they tax where they have a business presence. That doesn't necessarily mean a B & M store. It can mean manufacturing, distrib., etc.

Please correct if I'm wrong.

I tried to add the mirror for free shipping however my total shows up still less than $75. Any other suggestions?

Iomega® Microdrive? 340MB US $67.96
Monitor Mirror US $6.79

Total Before Shipping and Tax: US $74.75

This is exactly what I also heard. I guess it's true.

Is this a microdrive in the sense of the IBM one, or is it a special Iomega thing (like the clik drive)?

Edit: NM, it's a microdrive like the IBM one. FYI, if these all sell out, it appears there's a $50 rebate on the ibm microdrive from some of the descriptions on pricewatch. Makes them about $80

Edit again. Here's a link to the rebate info. Has to be certain microdrives I guess.

Sweet that I have a 15,000 limit on my biz VISA. I ordered 200 of them for our corporate HQ. My manager will be happy. I orderd overnight so I hope you guys get yours!
