Thanks man. Just picked one up :) Been meaning to drop this HP 4X2X24 for quite some time now... Nice deal for those of us who missed out on the CompUSA fiasco.

In case anyone is intrested this is one of the few drives that can appropiatly copy SD 2.0 disks (at least until clone 3 comes out)

Drive is not very good. Read the support forums before you buy it... i have this drive and it maxes out at 4x on most CD media.

Thanh,

I must say that I have this drive, and have not had any issues with it at all. I've been using the Kingston 80 minutes CDR's from Outpost.com ($13 shipped overnight for a 50 spindle) and the Kingston 74 minute CDR's from Outpost.com ($10 shipped overnight for a 50 spindle) and it works flawlessly. I was a little skeptical with the 2 Meg buffer size, but haven't seen any problems with it at all. 0 Coasters in about 3 months now (Approx 75 burns).

I think this one has the BURN PROOF Technology. Therefore the cache don't really matter and you probably wouldn't get the buffer underrun error as often.
