Iogear USB 2.0 PCI Card - $4.99 AR (plus shipping)

I've had horrible results with Fry's rebates. ZERO for 5.

Each time, I call the rebate place, they'd tell me to contact Frys and vice versa.

On the other hand, I've had pretty good luck with Office Depot, Office Max, CompUSA, and Staples.

Rebate offer still good at Fry's. It seems that some Fry's don't have this free-AR offer marked on the shelf; just grab it and verify the offer at the checkout. This card is also compatible with OSX Mac G3 and G4. If you have a G3 and want a couple of USB 2.0 ports, this is the perfect deal. OSX recognizes the card without drivers--just plug and play~ 🙂

I've seen this advertised in the Fry's ad (Free After Rebate) more than a dozen times this year. Seems to be an ongoing thing.

i bought one of these in store, the rebate got denied, and the card installs fine in winxp or server 2003, but wont recognize any usb device. im not bitter though.

Mine won't recognize any usb device either. IOGear tech support said to load the latest drivers (from ther site) and then move the card to another PCI slot. Don't know if it will work, but I'll give it a shot!

i'll give that a try tonight. it worked for about a week though, then one day it just stopped. i didnt bother calling tech support cause it was only $10, but i need the ports now so i'll give it a shot.
