Everyone else thinks you're stupid for leaving the scene, but I mostly think you're stupid for hitting a parked car. Also for hitting a parked car and deciding to leave a note instead of knocking on door(s) to find the owner.

You didn't read the thread did you? Summary: all condos, all security codes, cannot determine which one car belongs to.

You got rear ended by an F150, which weighs about 3+ tons and was traveling at 50 mph, while in your mid 90s corolla, and were able to get out of the car and run to a cop car?

I think your stats are wrong. that would be a pretty serious accident to walk away from, let alone run away from.

You would be surprised, i work for a towing company so get to see more smashed up cars than i care to remember. We once brought in what used to be a 91 honda civic, guy had fallen asleep at the wheel went into a ditch off the side of the highway at 120kph(70mph for you americans) and then proceeded to do three end over end flips and roll a few times.

This was witnessed by a highway patrol officer which was getting ready to pull him over for speeding.

He walked away with a single minor cut on his shoulder and zero other things wrong with him, i saw him myself 3 hours later when he got back from getting checked out at the hospital when he came to the tow yard to get some items out of what was left of his car.

His car was so bad i couldnt even identify it other than i knew it was a honda by the front bumper(i drove a 89 CRX at the time, same bumper)

i keep a log-book of gas bought, oil consumed, tire servicing, alignment, and any other stuff that goes on with my car.

so I always have a pen and paper in the car.

There's an app for that
