Before you drop a load and snatch up some stock?

BP wont be killed off. this disaster will eat up a lot of their cash, but that stock will be back over $60 eventually.

Why not buy some as you go? Might be a sharp jump back when the announce that they have the leak plugged.

That's probably going to be at least another 45 days or so, though. I'd wait until it drops into the mid 20's, and then BUY BUY BUY!

This administration will try to crush BP, but ultimately they will rebound. I'm looking for another 20% drop, then I start buying.

Even if they do plug it, it'll still be a while before a rebound comes. They still have to pay for clean up, pay the residents of the area who lost their jobs, etc.

Not until after their dividend payout day comes. If they do end up cutting it another big drop will be coming.

I disagree.

I think they will shift their assets into a shell company and then file for bankruptcy protection.

There are better plays out there. If you want to waste your time with this, at least wait for the well to be capped and some of the cleanup costs to be figured out. You might be sitting on a turd for 10 years with this one.

Should have put 20k into AMD @1.90 like I did in 2008. :)

We have no idea what the recourse for this is still, There has been talks of BP in N.America going bankrupt over this. Total liabilities are supposed to run about 160billion counting everything.

BP has been airing their commercial during last night's NBA game. They said something about paid off $51Million over 18,000 Claims.

I think their stock will be sinking for quite a while since there will be claims made against them for probably more than a year as the oil spreads to damage even more places. I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up filing for chapter 11 which would leave shareholders with nothing after they re-emerge.

Well, I was in it around $48 or so since 2004 .. I have since sold it all off.
Should of sold it right after this disaster. As it stands now, I would not
reenter that stock until it is around $20 and until the final cleanup bill
is known. So far BP will be escrowing 20 Billion for cleanup.
