Ive got about 43k saved up and was curious about investing in property. I really have no clue about property types and was wondering if anyone could give me any advice. Im down in Socal btw.

You're a little late, people have been putting a lot of money into real estate and bonds after the stock market slump, so you'll be buying high instead of buying low to sell high.

www.fool.com might have some good content, put personally I'd recommend going to www.vanguard.com and putting the money into their high quality stock mutual funds like VFINX.

I already have a bit of money in Vanguard. Just looking to do something more interesting with my money. Oh well.

if you don't want to spend time searching for and managing property, you should look at equity REITs. The are real estate investment trusts; basically a company that makes money from managing properties.

A REIT fund would be an easy way to invest in some "professionally" managed properties.

Why on God's green earth would you put $43,000 of your money in investments that you "have not clue about?"

That's a good way to lose 43 grand.
