it's possible that history could repeat itself. amd doesnt have to do much in order to succeed, just take a few points of market share away from intel. this is also the way the previous CEO wanted to go rather than try to enter new markets (like cellphones/tablets).
intel has a much harder path to success due to its own success. it already dominates its own market, so it MUST enter new markets in order to grow.
