Inverted rows: Can't get my chest to touch the bar

What angle can you do an inverted row at? By bringing your feet closer to being beneath the bar, you make the exercise easier. I would just bring your feet in until you can achieve the inverted row and slowly work on moving your feet away until they are completely off the floor.

... Unless I'm misunderstanding your question.

Well, first of all, hand position has a lot to do with this. If the hands are awkward distances, nobody will be able to touch their chest to the bar. Play with your grip and see if that helps.

Also, if this isn't a strength issue, it may very well be a pec flexibility issue. Before you do these next time, put your arms on the outside of a doorway and step through. This will help stretch your pec minor specifically, which people often have flexibility issues with. Try stretching like that for a 3 sets of a minute every day for a week. If that helps, then awesome. If not, the worst thing you did was improve your general flexibility. :)
