invalid win32 application

Guys, have been facing this problem once in a while........ everytime I double clicked some particular .exe file, a message says that 'this is an invalid win32 application' comes out, what is the troubleshooting techniques for this kind of problem ????

Normally it means that the program file has been corrupted in some way. Either reinstall or re-download.

Allright, I'll try re-downloading .....

But just FYI, there are some games that couldn't be installed due to the same error message, double clicking the exe or autorun doesn't work, and the problem is fixed by changing to some other CD ROMS.....strange isin't it ??
