Introducing the No. 3 seed in the West: Los Angeles Clippers

For all intents and purposes, the Clippers are the No. 3 seed. They have home court advantage against the Nuggets.

Is that really how it works? I assumed that the #3 seed always had home court over the #6. Although it wouldn't surprise me, since I remember it happening in later rounds before.

I hope the Lakers lose so San Antonio can play them in the first round. I don't want to see the Kings in the first round...

its cause denver won its division, so they get a top3 seed, in this case 3rd. the clips are in 6th place because dallas and memphis have better records than them, but all of them have better records than denver.

Go Kings! I hope the Lakers lose too, I'd rather have the Kings play the Suns.

Melo will single-handedly dismantle the Clips. The Alien won't be able to do a damn thing about it.

I understand why, I just didn't think it happened in the first round. I remember seeing teams who are lower seed get home court, for some reason I assumed it didn't happen in the first round.

lol i put $100 on them to win everything pre-season for 30-1 odds.

What were the odds of them making the playoffs? That would have been a good money earner, I imagine.

Not a chance.

I'd say there is a chance, but I don't expect anything like that. If the nuggets do win, and they could, it will be due to superior coaching and the play of other nuggets. Is camby healthy?

Sacramento Kings is better than both LA teams

We'll see. They have been playing well at the end of the season but that doesn't always translate to playoff success. A lot of teams don't play hard and even play their bench a lot towards the end of the season.

whether the kings make it far into the playoffs or not this year, next year should be a good year with a full season and the entire cast.
