Facebook > Myspace.

I never understood the draw of Myspace other than the numerous articles covering them when News Corp bought them. It's horribly designed and filled with too much junk. Facebook seems like a cozier better designed version of Friendster. Friendster could have been Facebook, but they fell way behind..

I wonder if there's a group for my high school. I should check. We would have been due for our ten year reunion last year, but we're so spread out I dunno if it happened.
Crap, not last year, the year before. But I checked, and they have an entry for the school, but nothing listed for it.

Facebook is pretty cool. Its crazy when someone remember you from middle school and you get to see what happened to everyone.

facebook was great until they let everybody else join

No joke.

I immediately noticed the amount of spamming went way up in all the global groups because of high school kids.

The amount of uneducated wall posts and stupid people increased by a TON when high schoolers were allowed to join.

Myspace is for high school kids and people who didn't go to college.

EDIT: I am in the ATOT group too!

heres my facebook profile, add me if you want.

I actually found out about Facebook from here a couple years ago... and I have to agree that it's way better than MySpace. It's just much more polished and professional looking.

MySpace would be a lot better if there was a feature to disable personalized profile viewing. So it literally strips everything out (except maybe images in the actual sections) and makes it look like the default. The biggest problem is the annoying page designs in my opinion.

I don't mind the influx of Facebook people, to be honest. I don't interact with them and I never see them. That may be because I never join those spammy groups like "The Largest Group on Facebook" or whatever. I usually only join groups that were from my college or things I'm in online... which means I need to join that ATOT group so I can be cool too 😉.

where is the option that turns on/off your profile visibility to the public (or just to friends)?
That's the default for everyone. Only people who goto your school can see your profile.

I'm not sure if it would work but maybe you could copy the default stylesheet from MySpace and save it, and then use that as a custom stylesheet in your browser when you view the site.

Oh yeah. Facebook rocks...

If you wanna be an officer in the ATOT group, just shoot me a message...I started it...come up with cool names for yourselves, too!
