So I interviewed for some jobs. I'm eager about getting offers from 2 of them. I expect an offer this week from one because I know I was the last interview and processing time is roughly a week. My references were all tagged by the company.
The other company I'm interested in has not contacted me since the interview, but they have a much larger HR office with potential interviews after mine. Should I write an Email to the recruiter and ask him for a status update? I figure something along the lines of, 'I interviewed 2.5 weeks ago and would like to know whether or not I'm still a candidate...if you could give me an estimate on when I'll be contacted, <lumberg>that'd be greeeeat......mmmmkay?</lumberg>'
My concern is that I know one pays less than the other, but has more benefits. I want to get them side by side to compare and make appropriate offers to equalize what I'm offered as much as possible through $$$. I don't want a bid war...just want to do my 10 years experience justice rather than letting an HR office push me around based on entry-level pay for any one paygrade.
