Pennicillin. That might be borderline since it is natural but I think that would be a good response.

There are so many important inventions. I think the interviewer wants you to tell him or her WHY did you pick a particular invention, e.i. there is no wrong or right answer.

I think I will pick the printing press because it help to spread out the knowlege of literature/books.

fire and electricity are not inventions, they are discoveries. Of course a lot of inventions use them. :)

im refering more to soap, and sterilization
but technically, yes, penicillin fits under antiseptics as well ;)
